Vegan pancakes are simple to prepare. We show you how to make the perfect pancake without using an egg or milk.
Pancakes that are vegan: 12 servings of ingredients
- flour, 400 g
- 450 milliliters oat milk
- 300 milliliters of mineral water (with sparkling water)
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 jar vanilla flavoring margarine or vegetable oil for baking
- Vegan pancakes should be made.
Combine the flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl, then add the oat milk, water, salt, and vanilla extract. With a mixer or a whisk, combine the ingredients until totally smooth; no lumps of flour should remain.
- Allow the vegan pancake batter to swell in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- After that, melt vegetable margarine or oil in a covered pan (such as coconut oil). To evenly spread the fat, swirl the pan slightly.
- To produce a vegan pancake that is thick all over, pour some batter into the pan and spread it out evenly with a spoon.
- Over medium heat, fry until the underside is a brownish hue. This task usually takes 8 to 10 minutes to complete. Then delicately turn the pancake with a spatula.
Vegan apple pancakes are another option.
Apple chunks, which can be baked in the pancake, give it a distinct taste. Cut thin slices from an apple after removing the core. Place them on the pancake as soon as the batter is in the pan. To keep the apples from browning, squirt a little lemon juice on them.
Vegan pancakes with the perfect topping
When it comes to the toppings, you have a lot of options (or filling, if you roll the pancakes later). Is it better to make something sweet or something savory? Traditional sweeteners include cinnamon and sugar, but applesauce, berries, and chocolate cream can also be used (which is also available vegan). As a vegan alternative to honey, maple syrup or agave syrup can be used. If you like something savory, you can top the pancake with vegan cheese or mushrooms, for example. Your creativity knows no bounds!
